Educational opportunities in Seestadt
0 + 99 years: In aspern Seestadt, education is accessible for all generations – from early childhood to adulthood. The comprehensive offering, modern facilities, and innovative pedagogy make Seestadt a future-oriented educational location for all Seestadt residents and the entire Donaustadt.
Kindergartens
Play, dream, grow – in Seestadt, the youngest are at the center. From the very beginning, children have a wide range of educational and care options right on their doorstep. Parents living or working in Seestadt can rely on modern kindergartens and care facilities that offer short distances and the best care.
As Seestadt grows, so does the offering: municipal and private institutions create space for children from 0 to 6 years – always close, always up-to-date, and with great care for the needs of the youngest Seestadt residents. Here, children can play, discover, and grow up together – day by day, step by step.
Schools
From learning basic arithmetic through vocational training and the Matura, 6- to 18-year-olds in Seestadt can find everything they need for their educational journey. Since 2015, the aspern Seestadt school campus has provided children with individual support, placing particular emphasis on inclusion and integration through its full-day primary school and specially tailored classes for children with additional needs. In 2017, the federal secondary school BRG Seestadt was added, providing around 1,000 students with space for learning together. Another federal secondary school campus between Sonnenallee and Seestadtstraße will further expand the educational offering in the future with a modern school comprising 36 classes and after-school care at lower secondary level. In 2021, the Liselotte Hansen-Schmidt Education Campus created another vibrant place with a kindergarten, primary school, lower secondary school, special education facilities and the separate Seestadt youth center.
From 2028, the new Central Vocational School will further expand the steadily growing range of educational opportunities. As Vienna’s largest vocational school campus, it will be equipped to modern standards and serve around 7,500 students. In this way, Seestadt is creating a learning environment that is already thinking about tomorrow.
