Diverse culture from the very beginning
Even before the first residents moved in, the art, culture, and communications program aspern Seestadt PUBLIK brought life to the district. Since then, Seestadt has been a stage for a vibrant cultural program: from readings and festivals to the Seestadt Stars with live music by the water – for everyone to experience and join in.

Art in public spaces
Art is ever-present and easily accessible in Seestadt: This is evident in the readings by the Buchhandlung Seeseiten in Seepark or the diverse dance and theater formats such as Lebensbögen, Public Moves by ImPulsTanz, or BURG ON TOUR. Exhibitions in public spaces – for example, "What does the constitution have to do with me?" or "Women build the city" – inspire reflection. Numerous sculptures and art objects also shape the image of Seestadt: from the large-scale murals around the lake, including the mural "Flux" on the Seestadt promenade, and the striking boat on H5, to the Skulpturenallee and the SEE:UA Land Art Festival.

Vibrant cultural scene: Exhibitions and indoor events
Seestadt invites you to enjoy a diverse indoor cultural program all year round. At the VHS Kulturgarage, the spectrum ranges from theater and cabaret to concerts – from the classical sounds of the RSO to the innovative Sonic Territories Festival and local formats such as Stimmweben and Vienna Lakeside Music Academy from Seestadt. The LLLLLL artist run space offers an important platform for exhibitions by local, national, and international artists. In addition, pop-up galleries such as the Kunstraum in Seeparkquartier with LYRIC ON LINE and Turning the Tide enliven the neighborhood. The program is rounded off by readings, concerts, and matinées at the Yella Yella! Nachbar_innentreff.

Culture from the very beginning
With Salotto Vienna, the cultural heart of Seestadt began to beat "in the open field" as early as 2011. That same year, "PUBLIK" was launched, a project curated by content.associates, which initially took place outdoors and later in the midst of construction. With the Notgalerie, from which the Skulpturenallee emerged, the "FABRIK," and the "Flederhaus," the first permanent art and event venues were created. With the VHS Kulturgarage and the ARIANA Eventhalle, Seestadt now boasts established cultural venues. To this day, studios, galleries, and pop-up art spaces present art beyond the mainstream. Construction sites and vacant lots continue to serve as temporary stages for accessible art and events.
