Recently, we asked what the newest member of our Grätzlrad family should be called – Trixi, Toni, or Trude. Together with other Seestadt residents, you voted: From now on, our cargo bike proudly bears the name Trude and can be borrowed free of charge. Get to know Trude! Trude is an e-bike, specifically a Bakfiets Cargo Trike Classic Narrow Steps. The large box at the front offers plenty of space. Up to four children can ride along on the two foldable benches with seat belts. This makes the CargoTrike perfect for heavy loads as well as family outings. And the best part: the new Grätzlrad is already available for rental! Grätzlrad? Grätzlräder are available free of charge in numerous districts of Vienna and promote sustainable mobility. Whether for transporting larger loads or for a family trip to the countryside – Grätzlräder are versatile, inspire adventure, and often outshine the car. The district management also offers free cargo bikes for borrowing.
On the website https://www.graetzlrad.wien you can easily reserve our “Urban Arrow Family” Ursi, our “Bakfiets” Ferdi, and now also our “Bakfiets CargoTrike” Trude online. Or visit the district management team in person to reserve it directly. Take the load off your shoulders – and put it in our cargo bike instead. Cycling with a wheelchair... is now possible. Last year, Jugend am Werk submitted the idea for a wheelchair bike to the neighborhood budget. The Ich. Du. Wir. team selected it and it received funding from the Mobility Fund. Find out more about this vehicle here. We wish you happy cycling!
