Summer in Seestadt has many beautiful sides – one of them is certainly the Neighborhood Terrace at the Pier. Here, where city life meets the lake, a special place for encounters, relaxation, and shared activities was created this year.
But the terrace is more than just a nice place to sit. Throughout the summer, many small and larger activities took place here: cooking together, chatting, creative MitMoch activities, circus theater, and spontaneous musical moments.
The Seestadt Stars brought music and atmosphere to the terrace
A special highlight of the summer were the performances by the Seestadt Stars. The colorful mix of pop, classics, and original compositions created a great mood and infectious atmosphere on several afternoons and evenings. The terrace became a small open-air stage – neighbors danced, children clapped enthusiastically, and passersby stopped to listen to the music. The "Seestadt Stars" format once again showed how much creative potential lies in the neighborhood and how music easily brings people together.
Active together with youngCaritas
The cooperation with youngCaritas also brought fresh energy to the Neighborhood Terrace this summer. Letters against loneliness were written for residents of senior homes, crocheting and knitting for a good cause, and the city was explored from the perspective of wheelchair users. Many small encounters between generations took place.
Summer on the Neighborhood Terrace has shown how vibrant a neighborhood can be when there is space for it – space to meet, talk, relax, and create together.
