Good Ideas for a Better Together – The Ich. Du. Wir. Neighborhood Budget 2025

About the Neighborhood Budget
The Neighborhood Budget 2025 supports creative and community-strengthening projects in Seestadt. Numerous ideas were submitted – now the funded initiatives have been selected. From scavenger hunts and hands-on activities to small cultural formats: these projects bring life, exchange, and cohesion to the district.

The initiative “Comfortable Ageing in Seestadt” invites the creators of deathpositiv.at as keynote speakers for a talk in Seestadt. The aim of the evening is to raise awareness of what truly matters in life. Participants are encouraged
to focus on the positive elements of their everyday lives – for a conscious and fulfilling life and a reflective approach to death.

In a calm introductory workshop, all beginners aged 15 and over have the opportunity to learn and practise meditations, simple breathing exercises, and gentle yoga stretches under guidance. The workshop aims to promote access to mental and physical health and also offers space to get to know the neighbourhood better and share a common experience in a relaxed atmosphere.

- 27 September 2025 from 19:00 to 20:00 (Neighbourhood Room 2)
A resident will organise Mission Games for young and old in Seestadt. This is an interactive scavenger hunt through public spaces. At the shared starting point, participants receive their first task, which leads them to the next station. In this way, they playfully explore the area – step by step, mission by mission. At the end, a small reward awaits all who successfully complete the Mission Game.
A resident will organise a chess meet-up in public spaces from July to September. The meetings will take place every two weeks on a fixed weekday. All interested parties, regardless of experience, are invited to join in or just drop by. Additionally, there will be an opportunity to try chess and learn the first moves as part of the neighbourhood breakfast.

A local food coop aims to raise awareness for environmentally friendly agriculture and sustainable lifestyles. As part of a film evening, the French documentary “Good Food, Bad Food – Instructions for a Better Agriculture” will be shown. The goal is to inspire visitors to consume regional, seasonal, and organic food and to engage more deeply with the production conditions of our food.
