This year, the now traditional street festival is being organised for the first time by the Seestadt Entrepreneurs' Network, the association "Gutes aus der Seestadt". "As befits a street festival, the Seestadt business community will show that it has a lot to offer. On Maria-Tusch-Straße, the first shopping street in Seestadt, local businesses will open their doors and sweeten your visit to the street festival with great offers," says Paul Nagler, chairman of the association "Gutes aus der Seestadt".

The colorful program offers highlights for all age groups from 1:00 pm.

  • This year, for the first time, readings will take place on the stage at Hannah-Arendt-Platz – kids can look forward to the Gruffalo, while adults will be entertained by Caroline Athanasiadis with highlights from her latest book. Lively live music from Brazil and Poland as well as a capoeira performance create an international flair before the Vienna band Burnswell delivers a rocking finale.
  • The family and children's program around the stage naturally includes a face painting station, bouncy castle, football darts, and much more. The wheel of fortune will also be spinning again, with many great prizes awaiting guests.
  • The pedestrian zone of the Seeparkquartier between Eva-Maria-Mazzucco-Platz and Wangari-Maathai-Platz will feature numerous interactive and quiz stations focused on environmental and climate protection, water conservation, conscious nutrition, and music. Among other things, visitors can look forward to a mobile planetarium with four shows, organized by the Institute of Astrophysics at TU Wien.
  • The flea market in the pedestrian zone also offers the chance to combine resource conservation with the fun of browsing!
  • The Seepark is perfect for sports – here you can try out many of Seestadt's sports activities. Refreshments are provided by the pop-up bistro Tschau Tschau at Jane-Jacobs-Steg.

“I am convinced that the people of Seestadt will have a great time on September 9, and I would be delighted if many guests once again take the opportunity to visit the district or maybe even get to know it for the first time,” says Donaustadt district chairman Ernst Nevrivy.

“The Seestadt street festival has become a fixture in the calendar, and for the first time, it is the local businesses organizing this event for everyone. I would like to sincerely thank the team from 'Good things from Seestadt' for their tremendous commitment,” emphasizes Gerhard Schuster, CEO of Seestadt Development Company Wien 3420 aspern Development AG.

The event is supported by the Donaustadt district, the local Chamber of Commerce, Wiener Netze, Wien 3420 aspern Development AG, aspern shopping, and the co-working space Lakefirst.
