International experts will meet on 21.10.2024 at the 6th Seestadt Health Conference in the VHS Kulturgarage.
The integration of artificial intelligence in healthcare not only holds revolutionary potential but also presents challenges for the medical care of tomorrow. At the 6th Seestadt Health Conference, experts will discuss the key questions and opportunities of digitalization: health determinants, usability, accessibility, transparency, and data security are just as much in focus as the realities, utopias, and concerns surrounding digital health.
Digital health solutions for the future
“Digitalization offers enormous opportunities for both patients and healthcare professionals: it can improve diagnoses, support behavioral changes, avoid duplicate examinations, simplify documentation, and much more. At the same time, digitalization naturally carries risks – for example, in data protection or AI-supported decisions. Especially in the sensitive healthcare sector, opportunities and risks must be carefully weighed to maintain people’s trust. It is important that we openly discuss further developments,” emphasizes Johannes Rauch, Federal Minister for Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection, who will open the Seestadt Health Conference.
Comprehensive program with excursion to the Seestadt therapy center tech2people
“At the annual Seestadt Health Conference, we discuss and analyze current trends and topics in the healthcare sector. Digital health has long since arrived in the Austrian healthcare system. We want to explore the transformation of the healthcare system together with experts from the field,” says Univ.-Prof. Dr. Beate Wimmer-Puchinger. The conference covers a wide range of topics, from AI and digital humanism to data-driven therapies and medfluencing.
“Technology should serve people – this is also our focus when planning urban health infrastructure. I am therefore particularly pleased that, in addition to the expert lectures, we can offer conference participants insights into Seestadt’s practical experience: As part of an excursion to the tech2people neurorehabilitation center, visitors will have the opportunity to witness the use of exoskeletons in the therapy of neurologically induced physical impairments,” says Gerhard Schuster, CEO of Wien 3420 aspern Development AG.
