10 Years of Community

3 minutes
The 2024 Community Week demonstrated just how vibrant neighborhood life can be. This year, Seestadt celebrates 10 years of community.

The 2024 Community Week demonstrated just how vibrant neighborhood life can be. This year, Seestadt celebrates 10 years of community.

To mark the occasion, the district management invited everyone to a colorful and diverse program at the end of May:

  • On Wednesday, young and old played together in Elinor-Ostrom-Park and prepared a colorful fruit salad.
  • On Thursday, visitors enjoyed breakfast in the sunshine in front of the district management office. A cargo bike trial event allowed participants to test six different cargo bikes.
  • On Friday, neighbors danced and sang in front of and inside the district management office, despite the rain.

A big thank you to all cooperation partners and initiatives who helped shape the program!

Seestadt optimally connected

Sustainably mobile, perfectly connected – in Seestadt, all elements of modern mobility interlock seamlessly. Underground, suburban railway, tram, and bus lines provide direct connections to Vienna’s city center and the region, while cycling and walking paths make everyday journeys easier. For car traffic, there are central parking areas that complement the mobility concept.
