Between construction site and lakeshore, a special open space opens up at the aspern lake: DOCK Seestadt. A gap site becomes a stage for formats that combine culture, community, movement and enjoyment, making Seestadt a place to experience anew time and again.

DOCK Seestadt is not a finished square – and that is exactly its quality. Between construction fences, wooden decks and lake air, a gap site becomes a temporary public living room. This is a place that shows how a city can be in process: together, temporary, always a little different.
The atmosphere is deliberately imperfect and in process: construction fences, temporary structures and proximity to the lake make it tangible that the city is constantly evolving here. This makes DOCK a place where creatives, neighbours, visitors and initiatives come together to bring Seestadt to life.
How to get to DOCK
We recommend arriving by public transport:
U2 to "Aspern Nord" or "Seestadt" (exit Seestadtpromenade) and about 5 minutes on foot to DOCK. Arrival is also possible by S 80, regional train, tram or bus.
If arriving by car, the nearest public garages are at the Kulturgarage (entry via Ilse-Buck-Straße), at the Gewerbehof (H6) or opposite (H4), with entry via Mela-Köhler-Straße.

Temporary stage, big anniversary.
Fuzzman & The Singin´Rebels, celebrating their 20th stage anniversary this year, together with concept and media artist Oliver Hangl, transformed DOCK Seestadt into a temporary concert stage.
The gap site concert special on the north shore of the aspern lake marked a spectacular kick-off for the new temporary event and neighbourhood location – including a swimming interlude.
Local during the week, loud and colourful on weekends.
From Sunday to Thursday, local, open and uncurated formats dominate at DOCK. The principle is: take part instead of just consuming.
Especially on Fridays and Saturdays, DOCK shows its particularly vibrant side. Then the gap site becomes an event location with a diverse programme – from DJ sundowners and concerts to readings and sports events that combine movement, music and community.

Since 15 August, you can also swing your racket at DOCK. A total of four courts are available and can be booked between 8 am and 9 pm – with a view of the lake and perhaps the most beautiful sunset in Vienna included.
Central square from 2028
The gap site at DOCK Seestadt already sets the scene for the Zaha-Hadid-Platz, which will be completed from 2028 and become the central square of Seestadt. Here, city houses will soon meet an urban promenade and culinary mile, framed by surrounding parks that will make the square the vibrant heart of the quarter.
